National Policy - South Coast Alliance for Transport and the Environment (SCATE)

There is a profusion of policies and guidance applicable to developing transport infrastructure, particularly when it applies to or impacts upon National Parks. Indeed it is quite clear about the high level of protection afforded National Parks and the need to pursue all other options first before considering new roads. Unfortunately, policy doesn’t necessarily get followed as we have seen with the A27 Feasibility Study.
